Former WWE Divas champion and WWE NXT Season 3 winner, Celeste Bonin (FKA Kaitlyn) will be coming to South Africa, for new upstart promotion Slamforce Africa’s debut show SFA01 on 27 October 2019, to be held in the famous Rembrandt Hall at the University of Pretoria’s Tuks Sport Campus.

Bonin, one of the best and most popular female wrestlers in the world became famous for winning WWE NXT season 3 against 2-time WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion, Naomi. After winning NXT season 3 on 30 November 2010, Bonin went on to make her debut on WWE Smackdown. She was quickly put up against some of the best performers in the WWE and finally captured the WWE Divas Championship on January 14th, 2011 on an episode of WWE Raw.

Celeste, performing under the ring name Kaitlyn, successfully defended her title against Tamina as well as Natalya and AJ Lee.

It was against the latter, AJ Lee, that Bonin had her best feud in the WWE as well as her last. Bonin officially retired from the WWE and professional wrestling on July 17th, 2014. But made her in-ring return four years later for Coastal Championship Wrestling on their Breaking Chains event held on February 10th, 2018.

Soon after her in-ring return from retirement, the WWE was very quick to get her back into the company and Bonin returned to the WWE on August 8th, 2018 to compete in the annual WWE Mae Young Classic, in which she was successful by defeating Kavita Devi in the first round of the Classic, but was eliminated by Mia Yim in the second round of the tournament.

Now, Bonin is itching to spear some bodies in a part of the world she has never wrestled in officially and is aiming to make a great impact on the African continent, by making her debut for Slamforce Africa at SFA01. A lot of pure wrestling fans in South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon and Egypt has hailed Celeste as the true sweetheart of professional wrestling, and was one of the leading pioneers that, along with great female athletes such as the Bella Twins, Natalya, AJ Lee, set the wheels in motion for the current women’s wrestling revolution that the professional wrestling industry has been experiencing for the last two years.

Catch Celeste Bonin, Live in South Africa, for the very first time on 27 October 2019, in the Rembrandt Hall, at the University of Pretoria Tuks Sport Campus, South Africa, for SFA01!
